Computanet and the community

The Board of Directors of Computanet Solutions Limited have a strong belief in the people of Hull and the surrounding area and are committed to contributing to the economic growth of the City and to the continued improvement in the results achieved by the City's educators.

We are also keen to contribute to the development of an enterprise culture in the city and have recently become involved in the Young Enterprise programme. Our initial participation has been as a judge at the Humber Strategic Final. This excellent event saw the young achievers from four outstanding Young Enterprise companies competing to win through to the next round of the competition.

In 2005 Computanet Solutions became a member of the Hull ICT Alliance.
The Hull ICT Alliance is a public/private sector consortium, made up of the Hull City Council's, Regeneration Services, the Hull College, UK online and the companies representing the city's interests in the ICT Cluster. Led by the private sector and backed by the public sector, the alliance offers the best of both worlds.

It brings together some of the brightest most innovative organisations in the region, with the aim of encouraging and assisting the development and use of ICT among firms in the Hull travel-to-work-area, helping them to gain a competitive advantage in the information age.

It aims to give Hull companies a leading edge in the fast-moving world of information technology and address the demands of businesses in this sector.

The alliance is an alliance of common interest with the objectives of addressing common issues. It is not a trade, commercial or employers representative organisation. Commercial issues between members, is not the Alliance's remit.
